ARTICLES & BLOG OF A THEOLOGIAN

The Burden of Proof
Have you ever shared information online about the experience of an oppressed group, and two minutes later some white middle aged man pops up in the comments: "Where's the proof? Explain it to me. What are your sources?" This frequent event is not an accident, nor is it indicative of the well-meaning curiosity or critical-thinking-prowess of white men. It's something much darker. It stems from white entitlement.

The Death of Nouf
Many of you who have followed me over the past three years will probably recognise a certain family I have talked about so many times. A family inside Gaza Concentration Camp, whom I have been supporting and working to raise funds for. This family consisting of mother, Nouf, daughter Lamees (20s), and son Momo (6). Yesterday, I was been informed that Nouf has died. No, she was killed. Nouf, a Palestinian mother, was murdered by the Israelis. Nouf succumbed to the wounds susta

You Have No Idea
White person you have no idea what it's like to practice talking about the holocaust of our people like we're preparing for a court trial or an interview To pick the words carefully To reach for the metaphors that might appeal to you "What if that was your family?" "Imagine if this happened in London, Oslo, Washington?" Our grief is only valid when we hold it up against white reality You should be on trial Your silence Your mincing of words Your apathy You should be the one h

A Short One
It's going to be a short one today. This isn't a carefully-crafted article. It's just what happened... Today I saw new massacres in Gaza Concentration Camp. I have never seen anything so horrific in my life. Faces torn off, heads halved, a toddler drenched in blood. Actual human faces crushed and torn like clay into horrible deformities, their expressions of horror frozen, eyes wide. Murdered by the Israeli colonisers. Bodies piled high. So many dead. I cannot share the video

The Red Line is White
The "red line" of the Palestinian genocide has been defined and policed by the white West for too long.

All About The Kids?
If you were to enter a Christo-religious space and ask what the most important part of the church population is, many, if not all people, would respond that it is the children. "The children are our future." "The teens, the youth, the young people." "They are the ones who will carry on the church. They are the ones who will take the baton from us." That sounds rather noble, doesn't it. But the yawning chasm between this sentiment and the reality of adult actions is damning. "

Usurper
"Israel", you usurper. You false god. You liar. You're that same enemy called "white supremacy" and "white colonialism". Only, you bear a stolen name, and play dress-up with ancient, plagiarised symbolism. But you're not ancient. You're not God-sent. Everything about you is counterfeit. Including that victim card you plucked from the pocket of Holocaust victims. You're as fickle as fascism, as insecure as white, male ego. Desperate to be real, desperate to justify your abomin

Pearls & Pigs & Palestine
We've now spent nearly two years trying to make others understand why the Palestinian genocide is about abuse, oppression, injustice, evil, and has no "two sides". We've done this by comparing it to abusive relationships, to murder, to the Holocaust, to the South African apartheid, to the genocide of Native peoples in "North America", to narcissistic abuse, to the Jim Crow laws (the American apartheid), to slavery. We've emptied the cartridge of every metaphor-weapon we could
